I will put some little writing lessons here. Just some things that I have learned from my own experience that might or might not work for you.  

Lesson 4: Carving your own path.

There are many, many books out there in the world and each of them is different. And so is every writer. What works for that famous writer doesn't necessarily work for you. Definitely, it's wise to look at how the others have done it before you. I'm not encouraging you to invent a wheel. Learn all you can from fellow writers. Be humble enough to take advice. But, also, be wise enough to admit if a writing method that you have been trying out is not helping you or is even hindering you.

LESSON 3 To whom is your story happening?

By now you should be nicely inspired. It's time to start real writing. To do that, you need to create some interesting characters to whom the story is happening. Boring characters make a boring story while interesting characters can give some color to an otherwise dull story.

LESSON 1 : Start with a spark.

So, you want to write a book? Great! But where to start? Start with a spark! That spark can be anything. It can be some curiosity that piques your interest. It can be something you think is underrepresented in fiction. It can be a cool idea somebody else has poorly executed making you think you can do it better. Anything counts! Don't expect to have an entire book downloaded to your brain. Expecting too much at this point might smother this little spark. Those small idea sparks are everywhere, you just have to notice them. As Brandon Sanderson has said, ideas are cheap. So, let's pick them up!
