A new year has been given to us! I hope that it will be kind to everyone.
I started my year with spending at least an hour editing today. Editing is hard work, maybe even harder than writing. It's not easy to come up with ideas for adding details to flesh out scenes, but I'm happy with my today's work.
December was busy for me. All the holiday shoppers at work and finding gifts for the family. I'm exhausted now. Its a wonder that I got any editing done this month, but I did. It was cool to visit Tartu while editing a book with a lot of Tartu in it. I saw two little cannons right next to the restaurant mentioned in the chapter that I'm editing right now. Strange that I never noticed them while I was living in Tartu. I think that Reiko approves them and wants me to put them in the book.
I have great expectations for this year. First, I want to finish editing book 1. Since I got half of it done, I think that its a reasonable goal to finish the other half. If I accomplice that, I can start looking for a publisher as soon as Jaan finishes editing his side of the story. Exiting!
Another big plan is to to take beautiful photos with my new camera so that I can use them to illustrate a haiku collection that I dream to create. I can imagine how awesome this will be! Not only is it a thrilling project on itself, if I suceed, it will hopefully give some extra funds for covering expences that publishing a book might bring.
What are your hopes and dreams for this brand new year? Let me know in the comments!
