Being a writer can sometimes be hard work, but at the same time, it's so rewarding. Researching for the story widens my horizon so much! For example, I didn't know what cool Japanese culture is before I started searching for some stuff about Japan for my story. Now I have turned into a Japanophile and even try to learn the language, though it's hard. And, writing has given me a dream to visit Japan someday.
Then there are foxes. Don't even get me started on foxes! I fell in love with those beautiful creatures when watching some YouTube videos about them for inspiration. I would have missed so much beauty without writing.
Of course, seeing the story unfold is a great reward on its own. It feels magical!
Last, but not least, writing together has brought us a lot closer together with Jaan. We both love those times when we just bounce around ideas for the book. It's something fun to do together. A shared dream is truly a blessing. I am a lucky woman!
